Averil and her husband Jamie transformed their disused 1887 dairy farm into a world-class equestrian facility, with staff accommodation, a client area and office space. Horse welfare and practicality were paramount, so they emphasised natural light, air flow, and shelter to prevent interruptions by the weather. The external changes were minimal but the overall transformation of the Gornall Equestrian stables was dramatic.
